Minor Adjustment in the Firmament

It seems to me,/that these numberless pages,/in  these diaries I’ve recorded/absolve God of all his  tears and doubts/in just one smear./ Rendered in a single moment, confessions awash in green ink,/perched on a rock, tented,assaulted,/by swarms of eyes and zeros,/ animal life, the power of breathing, one intake, alive for a time, heroic, /tested by barren rocks./Sitting pretty in the dampness, /gauged under glass,/smeared in blood lived out in a backwater.
