Make sure you cook up enough rice and peas/we’re off to the civil war./Drowned by a curse from Valhalla, I enter rooms in shades of basalt,/ outside, I see strange banners, hear explosions,/who pays the bill for gunfire/ they hold off throngs in the Capital/ I had no coin to meet the man,/ garner the truth of false report,sentences of the army/taut with excitement,I explore rifle fire, like body heat, it reloads on impulse./They planned their excursions in the Province in downtown stalls: money for information , lies laced with truth Lagoons lay in wait./ He was a young man,/the big boss man, /running guns downtown./Learning to sing his song
