Vow

I vow to my Maker,/ I pledge vast shrieks and squeals, /they echo on their way,/dangerous, to a neon sun,/citadels of disbelief shining/Where I take vows,/I take them under duress,/altered by fear,/no mastery of the senses,/a running battle: /I break on the wheel of desire,/connect with ease, seldom think/look for ripe melon, visit animal funerals/aghast at hired hands/who’ve ruined ten miles/with riddles from a Ouija/a neutral salt on vision,/ reviling with glee:/it’s odd, about the god. /More than that I cannot vow,/no promise for your silver/the core remains, sways,/ warrants I don’t answer/Those things I cannot vow /discovered sadly in the sand
