After The Act

I reached the stair’s acme and toppled,/there was standing room only,/as gods couple with goddesses./I studied the arm’s reach, to save triumph,/for the red rimmed crowd eyes, /the hot crystal slits that gush results,/ in a barren cavern that dawn abhors. /I could not fight the weight on my back,/ as I crossed the black masked waters,/you wail of your end,/ but remain ignorant of the knowledge/ I drilled in you outside of Grant’s Tomb./ Resigned to fate, after all those days, my eyes opened/and was someone I wasn’t/what I kept on the shelf could decimate/ New York City whole hog ,/wires that came from New Mexican airspace
