Safety Lesson

We bashed up Faye’s car last night/while she was busy astounding/lake appeared before us /in the aftermath of collision./Office buildings leaning,/insides clean and gleaming;/I did this to myself, this time,/in this precious evening./But, no wrath intended/I defended what I had/at a blinding speed/I hoped to keep it secret./Outside, by nightfall, I’m shouting:/marooned by the moment,/a moment of contact;/she’s totally unaware/ of comedies she dismembers./She ran into a parked car/searching for a monument./Why drink beers while driving?
